SAUNA USE MAY IMPROVE CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH
The reduction in stress levels when using a sauna may be linked to a lower risk of cardiovascular events. One study, conducted in Finland, followed 2,315 men ages 42 to 60 over the course of 20 years. Findings suggested that people who use a sauna may have a lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease.
Of the participants in the study, a total of 878 died from cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease, or sudden cardiac death. Participants were categorized by how often they used a sauna, including once a week, two to three times a week, and four to seven times a week. After adjusting for cardiovascular risk factors, increased sauna use was linked with a reduced risk of fatal cardiovascular-related diseases.
UNWIND & NURTURE A HEALTHY BODY
No matter the heat or humidity, saunas deliver consistent wellness perks. A sauna session elevates heart rate (to 100–150 bpm) and widens blood vessels, boosting circulation in a way comparable to light-to-moderate exercise (depending on how long you stay). Dry saunas have skin-specific effects: some with psoriasis see milder symptoms, while those with atopic dermatitis may notice flare-ups. Beyond that, saunas ease stress by enhancing circulation and fostering relaxation, lifting overall mood. They also relieve discomfort—better blood flow eases muscle soreness, improves joint flexibility, and lessens arthritis pain.
NATURAL DETOXIFICATION WITH SAUNAS
Most people don’t get enough active sweat daily, but deep sweating’s health benefits are well-documented—and regular HEFU Sauna use makes it easy to achieve. Sauna heat raises core body temperature, dilating blood vessels and speeding up blood flow. As heat moves toward the skin, the nervous system activates millions of sweat glands to produce cooling sweat (99% water). This deep sweating helps flush out environmental toxins like lead, copper, mercury, nickel, zinc, and harmful chemicals. Health experts emphasize regular detox as key to wellness, and saunas are widely hailed as one of the most effective detox methods.
SAUNAS ENHANCE DEEP, RESTORATIVE SLEEP
Deep sleep is non-negotiable for modern health, but work and family pressures often stand in the way. Studies confirm that saunas encourage deeper, more tranquil sleep. Sauna sessions trigger endorphin release, which raises body temperature in the evening and allows it to gently drop at bedtime. This slow, calming decline in endorphins paves the way for better sleep. Sauna users around the world consistently report waking up refreshed after a soothing session in HEFU Sauna’s warm embrace.
SAUNAS SUPPORT CALORIE BURNING
While some infrared sauna sellers overhype weight loss claims, saunas are a practical tool for burning extra calories. Sweating requires significant energy—fueled by the body’s conversion of fat and carbs, which burns calories in the process. A moderately active person can lose 500 grams of sweat and burn nearly 300 calories in one sauna session. The increased heart activity (detailed in the cardiovascular section) boosts oxygen needs, prompting the body to convert more calories into usable energy.
